Reverend Doyle C. Finley
Liberty, SC
Rev. Doyle C. Finley, 89, beloved husband of Cleo Turner Finley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 10, 2025, at his home.
Born in Easley, SC, he was a son of the late Silas Devoe Finley and Myrtie Doyle Finley.
Reverend Finley was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible College. He obtained a Bachelor of Ministries Degree from Covington Theological Seminary and several Honorary Doctorate Degrees. He was an ordained minister, pastoring for over 42 years. He was a member of The Lighthouse Baptist Church; he proudly served his country in the US Army as a Paratrooper. He thoroughly enjoyed reading his Bible daily, gardening, and hunting.
Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Cleo Finley; his children, Donna Finley Wood (Lane) of Easley and Dennis Finley (Robyn) of Sanford, FL; grandchildren, Kristi Shirley (Byron), Kendra Duncan (Jordan), and Caroline Brown (Jason); great-grandchildren, Morgan and Branson Shirley, Briar Black, Jovie, Jhett, Brody, Tillan, and Ella Pate Duncan; and a sister, Carolyn Finley of Easley.
In addition to his parents, Reverend Finley was predeceased by a brother, Carl Finley, and sisters, Patsy Couch, Louise Boggs, Bobbie Carnes, and Margaret Finley.
The family would like to send a special thank you to MSA Hospice for their love and care over the last few weeks.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted.
