Peter Paurazas Obituary
Reverend Peter Paul Paurazas, age 96, Longtime Southside Priest; Served the Archdiocese for 70 years as an ordained priest (St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, Mundelein, Class of 1955). Notably serving as Pastor of St. Adrian Parish in Chicago and St. Rene Goupil Parish in Chicago. Retired Priest at St. Symphorosa and St. Patricia parishes. Former teacher at Maria High School; Fr. Peter was proud of his Lithuanian heritage and an avid Chicago White Sox fan.
Beloved son of the late Ignatius Paurazas and the late Anna Paurazas; Brother of the late Cecelia (the late Donald) Goldwaite,
Fr. Peter will lie-in-state at St. Patricia Church 9050 South 86th Avenue, Hickory Hills on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. and on Monday, August 25, 2025, 10 A.M. until time of Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery; In lieu of flowers memorials to Priests' Health and Retirement /PRMAA, 1400 South Wolf Road, Building 3, Floor2, Hillside, Illinois 60162.

Father Peter served at St Joseph School in the early sixties when my sister and brother and I attended. Very active in parish activities like the Ladies Guild and other appropriate concerns. I think he may have also been involved with St Francis de Sales High School. May he rest in peace.
