Rex Wayne Climer

Rex Wayne Climer, known by everyone as Wayne Climer, age 86 of Bells, TN passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by family in his Home. Wayne was born in Gum Flat, TN to Addie Mae and Revelle Wray Climer. Wayne graduated from Bells High School in 1958. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Betty Henderson (Doyle) and Gloria Skrbich (George) and one brother, Franklin Climer (Mary Lou). Wayne is survived by his devoted and chatty wife of 65 years, Donna Sue Climer, and his sons, Rex Wayne Climer II (Allison), and Michael Climer (Tricia) all of Bells, TN. Wayne is also survived by his brother, Hinton Climer (Joan), and his sister Lynda Vince (David). A proud and loving family man, Wayne leaves behind seven grandchildren: Josh Eidson, Rex Wayne Climer III "Trey" (Elizabeth), Crystal Ivester (Eric), Michaela Buttler (Brandon), Savannah Horton (John), Jared Eidson, Micah Climer (Casey). He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews whom he cherished deeply. Wayne was a quiet man with a big heart. Affectionately known by many as "Uncle Wayne", even though there was no blood relation. He loved his family dearly and held special affection for his nephews. Known for his steady work ethic and dedication, he owned Climer's Parts in Bells, Alamo Parts & Supply in Alamo, raised cows and baled hay, serving his community with honesty and pride for many years. Wayne will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his kindness and the love he carried for those around him. Even though many of the young nieces feared him, later to realize he was just a big Teddy Bear. Wayne was a friend and advisor to many young entrepreneurs. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Serving as pallbearers are: Trey Climer, Micah Climer, Josh Eidson, Jared Eidson, Sammy Henderson, Chance Henderson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Bells First Baptist Church. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Wayne will be conducted on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Bells First Baptist Church with the pastor, Bro. Zac Hannaford and Bro. Wayne Foroupolos officiating. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the service hour.
