Rex Coon Obituary
Rex Alfred Coon, 66 of Sarasota, Florida passed away in his sleep on Friday November 28, 2025, after a battle with Pulmonary Emphysema. He was born in Sarasota on July 26, 1959, where he lived his entire life. He was a Journeyman Electrician and Project Manager at Windemuller Technical Services and taught electrical classes at SCTI.
He is survived by his wife, Brianna Coon of Sarasota, 3 daughters, Candice James of Sarasota, FL, Sarah Kagarice of Pleasant Hill, MO, Tenille O'Connor of Ocala, FL, 1 Son, Jerrod O'Connor of Kansas City, MO, 2 granddaughters, Mikayla James of Sarasota, and Nicolette Moll of Sarasota, 2 great granddaughters, Koraline McGraw of Sarasota, Espen Reeder of Sarasota and 1 great grandson, Darion Reeder, Jr. of Sarasota. 3 Sisters, 1 Brother, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Cassie Cora Coon of Sarasota, his Father, Ronald Harry Coon of Sarasota, and his son, Christian Dalton Newell of Sarasota.
A memorial Service will be held at Myakka Park on December 14, 2025.
