Rex Deines

Rex Darren Deines, age 50, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025.Rex was born on December 29, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Duane Deines and Janice Johnson. He grew up in Lee's Summit, Missouri, where he attended Lee's summit High School. Later, Rex returned to Kansas City, where he resided at the time of his passing.Rex dedicated much of his life to the restaurant industry, working at numerous establishments throughout the Kansas City area. He is survived by his mother, Janice Johnson; his brothers, Roger Deines and Marty Deines; and his sisters, Keisha Johnson and Sheleena Johnson.Rex was preceded in death by his father, Duane Deines; his paternal grandparents, Louis, and Hilda Deines; his maternal grandparents, Dale, and Maxine Phillips; and his sister, Crystal Johnson.Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2025, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. KCMO 64130.
