Rex M. Griffin

Rex M. Griffin, 75, of Talladega, AL passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in his honor at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 03, 2025 with Chad Woodruff and Joey Peters officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Griffin was born in Talladega on September, 09, 1949 to Frank and Betty Griffin. He graduated from Talladega High School in 1969 and attended Jacksonville State University for 2 years before attending Alabama Banking School in 1982. He worked for First National Bank before eventually becoming an insurance agent at State Farm in 1990. Mr. Griffin served as an insurance agent for 35 years earning many accolades including State Farm's Honor Club, Ambassador Club, Bronze Tablet Award, 30 Years with State Farm, and Silver Scroll Agent-qualifying for Legion of Honor for 13 years. He was also a member of the Talladega Airport Board. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with his friends, traveling, and listening to live music. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and lake family especially during the summer at the lake. Mr. Griffin was a very dedicated husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Rex danced through life with a joy so bright, it lit up the world around him-living each day to the fullest. His love for life was a contagious spark that inspired all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Griffin. Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karan Griffin, children, Brantley Griffin (Jennifer), Rosanne Gallahar (Kyle), and Bailey Sartin (Dillon), and grandchildren, Colson Griffin, Kase Griffin, Payton Rose Gallahar, Amelia Gallahar, and Madeline Gallahar.
