Robert W. E. Jordan, Jr. was born on June 12, 1951, in
Talladega, Alabama, to Robert W. E. Jordan Sr. and Louise R. Jordan. He departed this life on March 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
Robert attended Westside and Talladega High School. As a young adult, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army, where he served faithfully. Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career at Fort McClellan, working in the supply and demand department for nearly 27 years. After his time there, Robert continued his strong work ethic in the automotive industry as a production worker at Honda Manufacturing, where he later retired.
On October 4, 1974, Robert united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Shirley Lynn Jordan. Their union of 51 years was filled with love, commitment, and family. To this union, four children were born, and Robert was also blessed with three additional sons.
Robert was a member of Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as an usher, until his health failed, warmly welcoming all who entered. He found joy in working in his yard and treasured spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Shirley Lynn Jordan of
Talladega, Alabama; his mother, Louise R. Jordan of
Talladega, Alabama; his children: Edwin Darnell Jordan of
Talladega, Alabama; Jeremy Ladon Spratling (Fredricka) of Helena, Alabama; Justin Robert Jordan of Montgomery, Alabama; Fredrick McClellan (Tongela) of Anniston, Alabama; Rachael Yvonne Harmon (Michael) of
Talladega, Alabama; and Ebony Jordan Dabon (Theodore) of Clay, Alabama. He is also survived by his sisters: Janice Bolton (James) of Stonecrest, Georgia; Tammie Swain of Decatur, Georgia; and Kim Jordan of Ellenwood, Georgia.
Robert was a cherished grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. E. Jordan, Sr.; his sisters, Vivian Elaine Jones and Barbara Jordan Haley; his son, Roderick Dewayne Lee; and his granddaughter, Shantia Prentay Lee.
