Rex Allen Parks, formerly of Emporia, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Advena Living on Tenth in Topeka. He was 74.
Rex was born on September 10, 1951, in Allen, Kansas, the son of Herbert and Amanda Seamen Parks. He married Janie Louise Ragsdale, but they later divorced.
He is survived by his son, Rex (Shelly) Parks, Jr. of Salina; daughter, Shyan (Lance) White of Greeley Colorado; grandchildren, Danielle (Matt) Ehlinger, Benjamin (Tam) Parks, Noah (Sabrina) Parks, Lindsee (Colby) Ratzlaff, and Genevieve White; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Gail (Deana) Parks, and Mikel Parks.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and three brothers.
Rex served in the United States Navy. He was a Grader Operator for Lyon County.
Cremation is planned with a private memorial in the spring.
