I have really gotten to know Rex over the last 5 or 6 years as he started coming our Thursday morning breakfast get togethers. He also was quick to make a joke...light you up with a good-natured insult or laugh at himself in a self-debasing way. He also mentored me in my job at school as he and his former Superintendent running buddy, Jerry Cook have been a bevy of common sense knowledge. So Sad.
