Obituary for Rex Wendell Smith
Rex Wendell Smith,66, of Auburndale passed away May 15, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on February 6, 1957 in Winter Haven, FL to Willie Robert Smith and Nella Frances(Stokes) Smith.
Rex enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, telling stories and joking with everyone. He was one of a kind. He had a kind, gentle and giving heart with the ones he loved. He will be missed by many but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Rex is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Smith, son Dustin(Misty) Smith, daughter Jenny(Larry) Causey, three brothers: Kenny, Bobby and Brian Smith, and four grandchildren: Shelby, Payton, Bentley and Piper.
He is preceded in death by his son, Derrick Smith, both of his parents and brother, Duran Smith.
The family will receive friends at Kersey Funeral Home on May 22, 2023 from 1:30-2:30. Funeral services will be held immediately after. Interment will be at the Auburndale Memorial Park following the service.

Always remember Mr. Rex yelling at Bobby not to touch the timer on the water tank, because every time he did he broke something on it......May your tree grow big & strong....Missing you BIG time.....
