Rex Lee Waggy, 72, of Toronto, Kansas, passed away early Friday, November 29, 2024, at his home.
He was born December 15, 1951, at Wichita, KS, the son of Charles Sherwood and Fern Marjorie (McIntosh) Waggy. He grew up in Burns, KS, and attended grade school there before graduating from high school at Peabody, KS.
On September 11, 1971, he and Vicki Lynn Unruh were married at Hillsboro, KS.Rex farmed and ranched during his younger years before working several years in the feed mill industry. He held several other jobs before being employed by Norcraft Cabinetry in Newton, KS, where he worked as a parts manager until his retirement.Rex and Vicki enjoyed numerous fishing trips to Minnesota which they greatly enjoyed.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves Vicki, his wife of more than 53 years; his brother, Ron Waggy (Carol), Cheney, KS; nephews John Waggy, Wichita, KS and Jeff Waggy (Kim), Cheney, KS; several great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held in April 5, 2025 at 11:00 am Pleasant Center Cemetery in Burns, Kansas.
