Rex Ward Obituary
He was born on December 22, 1960 at Summersville; he was the son of the late Isaac William Henry Ward and Margaret Jane Pyatt Ward.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Alex.
Rex was a coal miner. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandkids who called him "Poppy". If he could'nt fix something it wasn't broke.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Melinda (Dorsey) Ward; daughter, Meranda (Rob) Gunnoe; sisters, Ruby Skaggs, Alma Haynes and Marie Flanagan; brothers, Terry Ward and Phillip Ward; grandchildren, Andrew, Alvin and Arlo; his fur baby, Puppy Duppy; his best friends, Pete Sheppard and Steve Sauzer; extended family and friends.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 until time of service.
