Born on January 6, 1922, in the picturesque Barranco De Guadalupe in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Reyes's life was a tapestry of vibrant threads woven with devotion, compassion, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Reyes's journey began in the heart of her beloved Mexico, where the values of family and community were instilled in her from an early age. The daughter of Teresa Garcia Tavarez and Florencio Hernandez, she was a guiding light in the lives of her siblings, many of whom she saw pass before her. Her life was further enriched by her union with Bartolo Carrillo, who also preceded her in death, leaving a legacy of enduring love. As well as her son Abraham Rodriguez, whom she is now reunited with in eternal peace.
The family matriarch, Reyes is survived by her loving daughters, Teresa Rodriguez (Juan) Garcia, and Isabel Rodriguez (Jose) De Garcia. Her nurturing spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a spark of her gentle wisdom and unwavering support.
Reyes's passions were a mirror of her generous soul. She expressed her love through the culinary arts, ensuring no family gathering was without the warmth of her delicious home-cooked meals. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2024 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service for Reyes will begin 12 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.
