Rhodie Henagan

Adrian– RHODIE MAE HENAGAN, age 88 of Adrian, died February 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 19, 1935, in Prescott, Arkansas to Jeff and Annie (Johnson) Henagan. She was raised by James and Pauline Henagan. She married her childhood sweetheart Russell Henagan on March 9, 1954, and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2007. Rhodie was a member of the Second Baptist Church and later joined Bethel A.M.E. She retired from Adrian Dominican Life Center where she worked as a Nursing Assistant. Because she loved her work so much, she continued to work for them part time after retirement. She also enjoyed golfing, cooking, and entertaining her family. Rhodie also modeled clothing for the downtown Adrian stores, Maurices, in the Town Hall Series.
Rhodie is survived by two sons, Ray C. Henagan of Adrian; and Russell T. Henagan of Lincoln Park; a daughter, Jackie Henagan of Sacramento California; 2 daughters-in-love Mary Henagan and Martha McKinney; three sisters-in-law, Louise Henagan-Stanton, Willie Lou Henagan, Deanne A.C. Henagan; three grandchildren Tamaris Henagan, Heather Henagan, and Jathon Henagan; a great-grandson Aiden. In addition to her husband, Russ, she was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Wilson T. Henagan, Lewis Henagan, Reo Henagan: 5 brothers-in-law James Cal Henagan, Bernest "Bill" Henagan, James A Henagan, Henry C Henagan, Kandy Bradley, and 3 sisters-in-law Suzie Bradley, Mary E. Henagan, and Wyvonne Henagan Brown.
Visitation will be held on February 26, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan. Funeral services for Rhodie will be held on February 27, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Anderson -Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan, with Pastor Sharrice Autry and Pastor Michael Dudley officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, Michigan.
