Rhonda Doud Obituary
Rhonda graduated from Holton High School in 1989. She worked for over twenty years, as a cook, at the Prairie Band Casino. She was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, determination, and warm presence.
Rhonda loved all animals. However, she had a very special place in her heart for her cats. She frequently donated all kinds of toys, blankets, and pet supplies to numerous animal shelters in the area.
Rhonda is survived by her fiancé, David Fiedler of the home, her daughter Elizabeth "Lizzie" Poell (Justin) of Topeka KS; her grandchildren Dean and Emma; her son Matthew Doud also of Topeka; her sister; Jenny (Jim Brassfield) Baker, her brothers; Ronnie Brook and Kevin (Kristen) Brook, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Sharon Bestwick.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Burial will follow at the Albany Cemetery which is located north of Sabetha, KS. The family will greet friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Friday, December 5, 2025 at the funeral home. Rhonda will lie-in-state Thursday December 4, 2025 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Heart of Jackson Humane Society Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.

Lizzie and Matt, was so sorry to hear of Rhonda' s passing. She was truly a dear friend of mine. Her laugh was contagious and we had some good times together. She will not be forgotten and always in my heart. I still laugh at the great times we had because she would always say something funny always making me laugh. So many great memories I will cherish. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
