Rhonda Turner Meade

Born November 2, 1952, long time McDowell Postmaster and Floyd County School Board Member, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 15th, at McDowell ARH surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lenville "Bub" Turner and Norma Lou Ward Turner, two brothers Terry (Dorothy) Turner and Donnie Turner and two sisters Nedra (Bobby) Slone and Meredith "Cedar" Turner.

She is survived by one son, Chris (Mary) Meade, four grandchildren, Sydney Meade, Maddie Meade, Scoutt Meade and Silas Meade, a sister, Linda Turner, two brothers Danny (Barb) Turner and William "Buddy Boy" (Debbie) Turner.Mary and Dale(Caren) Slone were like her 2nd and 3rd children and helped care for her during her illness.

The family would also like to recognize Vanessa Mullins who helped care for Rhonda as if she were her own Mother. She will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews and friends who she also considered family.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Shawn Kidd and Dr. CB Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucy Hall Cemetery, McDowell, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
