Diane J. Meade

Diane J. (DeNicco) Meade, 83, of Pottstown, wife of the late John J. Meade, Jr., passed away Sunday September 28, 2025 at her residence. Born in Stowe, she was the daughter of the late August DeNicco, Sr. and Julia (Malescio) DeNicco. Diane's life was built around her family. She spent much of her early adult life nurturing her sons and daughter. She sacrificed herself for the betterment of her husband's career and her children's education. Diane loved spending time with her grandchildren. There was never a cross-country meet, recital or play that she did not prioritize in her life. She held lifelong friendships with April Longaker, Barbie Gazzillo, Martha Pankau, and Nancy Hartenstine. These friendships, some of which were forged during grade school, allowed Diane to travel the world; however, the most important shared experiences always involved some form of retail therapy. She was an avid Villanova basketball fan with special affection for coach Jay Wright. Surviving is her son Timothy A. Meade, partner of Suzette Bock; daughter Laurie B. Meade; grandchildren Sierra, Ethan, Aidan, Isabelle, and Tasha; brothers Dr. August DeNicco husband of Pat and Dr. Anthony DeNicco husband of Joan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son John Joseph Meade, III; and sisters Teresa Cocci, Marie Liberatori, Isabelle Wanner, and Shirley Muscatello. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday October 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Interment will follow at St. Aloysius New Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church gathering center.
