Rhonda Rae Mini, 74, of Spring Valley, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025 at Allure of Peru.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 3, at Valley Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley.
Mrs. Mini was born in Spring Valley on April 20, 1951 to Ed and Millie (Thompson) Mini. She was a waitress at 4-Star and Big Apple Restaurants, also the Peru Mall and Orbit Transport.
She loved playing cards and solitary. She enjoyed studying and reading about criminal justice and psychology. She was an avid fan of the Golden Girls.
Rhonda is survived by five children: Josh (Dana) Colby of Peru, Joe Colby of Dalzell, Aimee Hernandez of Spring Valley, Michael (Simona) Scordo of Cedar Point, and Catherine Scordo of Peru; eighteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and one brother Edward K. (Laura) Mini of Dalzell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Dr. Jason A. Bergandi, one daughter Dinah Scordo, one brother Kevin Mini, and one granddaughter Jocelyn Colby.

Rhonda and I were friends as young girls growing up in Dalzell. We had a lot of fun together. I always admired her natural beauty and ability to talk with anyone. She is missed.

Rhonda and I were childhood friends, growing up in Dalzell. She was always up for an adventure and having fun with friends. She had a sweet and vulnerable side and could be as strong as steel. Rest in peace Rhonda.
