Rhonda Lynn Thurman, age 71, of Neosho, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 16, 2026.

Born on September 16, 1954, in Saginaw, Missouri to Roy Willis Thurman and Martha Gibson Thurman and was raised by her father and stepmother, Sonya Ann Gibson.

She recently began a new chapter in life when she became engaged to her fiancé, Richard Johnson, on December 28, 2025.

Rhonda was dedicated and hardworking woman. She worked at Crowder Industries in Neosho, working in assembly. In 2022, she earned recognition for her 50 years of service to the company.

Above everything else, Rhonda loved the Lord and devoted her life to Him. She was a faithful and active member of Northside Baptist Church in Neosho, Missouri.

Rhonda had a love for Elvis Presley and The Golden Girls, and she enjoyed traveling to Branson and Silver Dollar City. She was affectionately known as the "Bingo Queen," she also enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. One of her greatest dreams was fulfilled when she traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to visit Graceland.

She is survived by her brothers, Roy Thurman (Linda) of Granby, Missouri, and Dan Leonard (Carol) of Neosho, Missouri; her sister, Cindy Middaugh of Neosho, Missouri; her fiancé, Richard Johnson; and her aunts, Donna Thurman of Joplin, Missouri, Brenda Wheeler of Neosho, Missouri, and Lily Bass of Diamond, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Thurman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Funeral service will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home. Brad Vickery will be officiating. Interment will follow at Saginaw Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northside Baptist Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, Missouri 64850.
