Ricardo Larreynaga Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fairfield Funeral Home on Jan. 3, 2024.
Ricardo "Rick" Antonio Larreynaga was born on August 22, 1963 in San Francisco, CA. He entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2023 with his family lovingly by his side, after a very sudden decline in his health. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Rick was born to Richard and Tany Larreynaga in San Francisco. He has four sisters, Gloria Larreynaga, Dina Nava, Vilma Larreynaga, and Yvania Lareynaga. Rick was predeceased by his father Richard Larreynaga and sister Vilma Larreynaga, and is survived by the other family members.
Growing up he enjoyed practicing Judo and playing high school football. He then joined the Champaign Car Club with his Lincoln Continental low rider car. Attending disco dances in San Francisco he met his wife Vicky Larreynaga.
Rick and Vicky went on to have two children, Crystal Hendricks and Joshua Larreynaga, and were married for 40 years. In 1999 Rick and his family moved to Fairfield, CA where he enjoyed life in the suburbs. Some of his favorite hobbies were working on his classic car, boating, vacationing, and going camping each summer.
Rick worked at South San Francisco Scavenger Co. for 28 years. He was a loyal Teamsters union member, hard worker, and family man. He loved his family and regularly checked in on all the extended family members. Rick will be remembered for his patriotism, strong will, and trustworthiness, and his playful jokes will be missed. We will always love you Rick, and miss you very much, until we can meet again.
A memorial service for Rick will be held on January 5, 2024 at 4 pm, and the funeral service will be on January 9, 2024 at 11am. Pastor Dennis Murphy of Hope Christian Church will be officiating both these lovely services at the Fairfield Funeral Home at 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, CA 94533 (707) 425-1041.
