Ricardo Lopez Martinez, 68, born on April 3, 1957, in Nopaltepec, Veracruz, Mexico, peacefully departed this life on August 22, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and a passion for the simple pleasures in life.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Albritton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Juan Camilop Pineda officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Ricardo's career was marked by his unwavering work ethic. He worked with Rock Solid Cargo, where he devoted many years of his life until retirement.
A man of simple joys, Ricardo was known as a workaholic who took great pride in maintaining his lawn to perfection. He found bliss in the comfort of his home, often enjoying movies—particularly those steeped in action and war. His sweet tooth was well-known among his family and friends, as he had an affinity for bakery treats and delighted in creating his own specialties, including smoothies and cakes, particularly those flavored with coconut.
Ricardo's spiritual life was also significant; he was of Pentecostal faith, which provided him with guidance and strength throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Gumercinda Martinez Lara, and his cherished wife, Rosa Guadalupe Santos of Tifton; his children, Nathan Antonio, Kaylee, Ricardo, Antonio, Guillermo, Anahi, Edith and Guillermina
He was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Lopez Tenorio.
Ricardo Lopez Martinez will be remembered for his profound love of family, hard work, and the little things that brought him joy. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
