Richard “Ric” Czerwonky, 57 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born December 19, 1968, in Chicago, IL to David Erwin Czerwonky and Janice Kay (Magnuson) Czerwonky.
Ric worked at UPS for over 15 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 135. He enjoyed watching movies, going to concerts, and attending horror conventions. Rick was an avid sports fan and loved to cheer on his Chicago teams. His favorites were the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks. He also enjoyed watching WWE. One of Ric’s passions was collecting Funko Pops.
He married Tracy Anne (Sheridan) Czerwonky on May 13, 2011, and she survives.
Ric is also survived by his mother, Janice; stepdaughter, Kayla Schenker; bonus daughter, Makayla Woodwad; grandson, Jordan Winkler; brothers, Michael (wife, Sherry) Czerwonky, and Daniel (wife, Lisa) Czerwonky; sister, Karen Czerwonky; stepmom, Claudette Czerwonky and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has requested that you wear a horror, sports team, or band shirt for the service.
Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Ric’s family.
