Stephanie Inskeep Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home - Apple Valley on Feb. 24, 2026.
Stephanie "Betsy" Inskeep, age 90, of Apple Valley, Minnesota passed away on February 20, 2026.

Betsy was born on August 5, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Cecil and Catherine Ross. She was a graduate of Shortridge High School and attended Purdue University and Butler University. In 1963, Betsy married Richard Keith Inskeep. She spent most of her life in central Indiana (Shelbyville, Indianapolis, and Lebanon). Even though she moved to Minnesota during 2022, she still considered Indiana her home.

Betsy worked part-time off and on over the years, mainly at Hallmark gift stores, but she was primarily a homemaker. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betsy enjoyed chatting with friends, quilting, reading, and volunteering at the Lebanon Public Library, church, and other organizations. As a master gardener, Betsy took great pride in her beautiful garden. She was a lifelong cat owner, and she loved Purdue and Butler sports. She especially enjoyed Blue, Butler's bulldog mascot.

After having a life threatening case of pneumonia when very young, she often told those she met that she was surprised and thankful to have lived such a long, happy life.

Preceded in death by husband Keith Inskeep, parents Cecil and Catherine Ross, and brother Steve Ross. She is survived by son Theodore Inskeep, daughter Gretchen (Vaughn) Faul, grandchildren Brian (Megan) Faul, Jason (Alison) Faul, and great grandchildren Jadelyn and Brayden Faul.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community of Shalom, P.O. Box 135, Lebanon, IN 46052.
