Richard F. Anderson, Jr., 84, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2025, at York South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the devoted husband of Jo Ann M. (Heilman) Anderson, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage before her passing in September of this year.

Richard is survived by his three sons: Richard F. Anderson III and his wife Sheila, Dana L. Anderson, and David A. Anderson and his wife Wendy. He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren and great-grandfather of eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale Anderson and his wife Jane, and Carl Anderson and his wife Sue, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A lifelong farmer, Richard found his greatest joy working the land and living a life rooted in family, faith, and community. He was a member of Bethlehem Church, the Hawkes Gunning Club, Victory Club, the Moose, and the Dallastown American Legion.
