Richard Baker Obituary

Rick, 'Uncle Rick', 'Ricky', 'Cherd', Baker 72, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025.

He was born to Ronald and Marilyn (Porter) Baker and was the oldest of his four siblings. His dad put a wrench in his hand at an early age and he never put it down. He enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing the problematic machinery, whether it was his mom's washing machine or a neighbor's car; and then finding, or more likely inventing the solution. Rick spent time working in Alaska and in Portland as a mechanic but always called Idaho home.

Rick was a true believe in God and a traditional Seventh Day Adventist who found great joy in spreading God's word to anyone who would listen. He enjoyed listening to Molly Hatchet and ZZ top as well as watching Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man, Quigley Downunder and Robo Cop. Rick had an unmatched love for motorcycles, from working on them to building them from scratch. He also was skilled comedian, with a silly nickname always up his sleeve. The B.F., Cobra Bone, Spooky Tooth and Rickenstein to name a few.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Ron, his mother Marilyn and his brothers Kelly and Gordan (Baker). He is survived by his sister Rhonda Jarrett, nephew Thomas Jarrett, nieces Amanda Jarrett, Brandie (Andrew) Meyers, Monica (David) Meyers, and his dear friends Linda and Jermey Snow. As well as, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many good friends.

Rick requested that there be no funeral service. Please find solace in the fact he is at peace, waiting to be reunited with his good friend The Lord.
