Richard Belhumeur Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rochette Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Jan. 19, 2026.
Richard "Dick", M. Belhumeur, 69, passed away at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was a longtime resident of Nashua. Richard was born on July 30, 1956, in Nashua, the son of the late Clement Belhumeur and Palmyre "Amy" (Pelletier) Belhumeur.

He attended St. Louis Elementary School and was educated in the Nashua School System, graduating from Nashua High School. He later earned an Associate Degree in Business Management from the University of New Hampshire. Richard worked as a shear operator at All Metals in Bow, retiring in March 2025 after many years of dedicated service.

He was the beloved husband of Debora "Debbie" (Lacoy) Belhumeur. They were married for 47 years and shared 53 years together, building a life rooted in love, devotion, and family.

Dick found joy in the outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting, or spending time on the water boating. He also possessed a remarkable talent for metalworking. With care and precision, he would hand-draw his favorite Disney characters, meticulously cut them from metal, and thoughtfully paint each one to perfection. Among his proudest creations were Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and most recently, Pete. These handmade pieces became cherished summer fixtures on his front lawn, where friends and family eagerly anticipated each new addition. Above all, Dick treasured time spent with his family-especially his grandchildren, who truly meant the world to him. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, quiet strength, and deep, unwavering love for those closest to him.

In addition to his wife Debbie, Richard is survived by his sons Craig of Merrimack and Keith of Nashua; his grandchildren Kayla, Caleb, and Peyton; his brother Roger and his wife Janet of Laconia; his sister-in-law Debi of Nashua and Alice and Jimmy, as well as Mary and David; his brother in law Bill and his wife Karen; his two godsons Michael and Travis; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Belhumeur.

Family and friends are invited to Richard's visitation on TUESDAY, January 20th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
