FORT WORTH - Marc Thomas Belhumeur, 66, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2024. Born on December 2, 1958, Marc was a devoted husband, proud father, and adoring grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love and service.
Marc's unwavering commitment to his family defined his life. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his sons and their wives, Daniel and Lauren, Jody and Lindsay, and Chad and Emily; his daughter, Karen, and her husband Chad; and his cherished grandchildren, Avery, Aubrie, Cole, Cecilia, Carter, Wyatt, Shaylie, Charlotte, and Easton. He is also survived by his brothers, Bernard, Melvin, and Kirk; his sisters, Cynthia and Rene; and many nieces and nephews. Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Belhumeur and Marilyn Mason.
Marc proudly served in the US Air Force for four years, based in Panama and New York. Marc's military service instilled a strong sense of discipline and love for his country. Values he carried throughout his life.
A proud alumnus of Auburn University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marc maintained a lifelong passion for Auburn football, often expressing his enthusiasm with a spirited "WAR EAGLE!" He spent much of his career as a Mechanical Engineer in the aerospace industry, including a 25-year tenure at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where he worked as a Senior Project Engineer. Marc also served as a Union Representative, advocating for his colleagues with dedication and integrity.
Marc loved to travel, spending time on the water, and taking family and friends out on the family boat. An avid sports enthusiast, he had a special place in his heart for basketball, both playing and coaching his sons during their elementary, middle, and high school years. As a proud grandfather, Marc never missed an opportunity to support his grandchildren, whether cheering them on at sports events or admiring their performances on stage. Marc will be deeply missed by many.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a visitation on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home, Memorial Suites C - D, 3344 White Settlement Rd. A memorial service will take place on, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd. Marc will be laid to rest following the service at Greenwood Memorial Park.
