Richard Blakeman Obituary
Richard L. Blakeman, 84, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, IN. He was born June 12, 1941 in Louisville, KY the son of Glynn and Margaret Campbell Blakeman. He was a printer for VG Reed and Sons, Inc. in Louisville, KY., he attended Pfrimmer's Chapel Church, was an Army veteran and enjoyed golfing and wood working. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronnie Blakeman. He is survived by his wife, Carla Elaine Blakeman; daughters, Sandra Johnson (Troy) and Cindy McMurry (Eric); grandchildren, Evan McMurry (Anna), Colin McMurry (Kirby), Sean McMurry (Abby), Caitlin Vanover (Charles), and Maddie Johnson; great grandchildren, Caleb and Miles McMurry and Cade Vanover. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Pfrimmer's Chapel Church. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home are caring for all arrangements.
