Richard Charles Blalock Jr 35 yrs old passed away on November 26, 2025 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Richard Jr was born May 13,1990 in Waterloo, Iowa to Theresa & Richard Blalock Sr.
Richard Jr was a beloved son, brother, uncle & friend whose kindness & warmth touched everyone he met. Richard Jr grew up in Waterloo, Iowa where he developed a love for nature, and found peace in the great outdoors. He loved walking on the trails and bike paths of the city, and he found tranquility in fishing, Not for the catch, but for the connection to the world around him.
He enjoyed working with his hands holding various jobs in building maintenance and for Packers Sanitation of Waterloo, Iowa. He worked faithfully as a personal caregiver to his partner's father, serving with humility and great devotion up til the day of his passing.
Richard Jr was a born again Christian and an upstanding human being. Richard Jr. earned his GED and Culinary Arts Certification delighting family and friends with his favorite legendary baked chicken.
Richard Jr. believed in never judging a book by it's cover, and he lived by a code of respect; yet he always was willing to lend a helping hand if someone was in need.
Richard Jr is survived by his life partner Bryante Fletcher, his beloved fur babies Pepe' Chulo La Belle and Diesel D. Chorizo, and siblings Angel Blalock-Tidwell, Richinda(Shevin)Ford, Rikki(Phil) Thomas, La'Quoya Blalock, David Britton,
Nieces & Nephews Arial Reed,Tatianna Blalock, Latreace Blalock , MacKenzie Cader, Lil Ricky Blalock, Rikiya Blalock, Anjilo Allen, Daityn Britton, Alanna Britton, Amiyah Britton, Anabella Briton, Manuel Britton, Alayah Martinez , Landon Pritchard, Leveon Blalock, Aunts Sherry Davenport, Lisa Davenport, Jill Britton, and numerous cousins, and other family & Friends
Richard Jr was preceded in death by his parents Theresa Britton & Richard Blalock Sr. & grandparents Annie R.Lewis & LeRoy Scott, Mr & Mrs Britton
Aunts Carolyn Bailey, Cynthia Bush & Diane Davenport, Uncle Jack Britton, cousin Richard Britton & Great Grandparents Richard and Missionary Lounette Blalock.
We find comfort in knowing that although he is no longer with us in body, his soul rests peacefully, his spirit remains eternal, and his radiant light continues to shine brightly in the hearts and memories of all who cherished, admired, and loved him most.
Rest in eternal peace, Richard. Fly High my Friend. You will be forever missed, endlessly loved, never forgotten, and always honored as a guiding presence in our lives. ~Amen
