Richard Blasczyk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marnocha Funeral Home from Jun. 14 to Jun. 15, 2022.
Richard "Dick" Blasczyk, 87, Pulaski, left this earth to be united with Christ on June 13, 2022. The son of Casimer and Sophia (Preslaski) Blasczyk was born July 15, 1934, in Pulaski, Wisconsin and was a 1951 graduate of Pulaski High School.

Dick met his future bride, Mary Ann Karcz, while in high school. Their courtship was prolonged while Dick served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. They were married on June 23, 1956, at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski and celebrated 62 years of marriage together before Mary Ann passed away in 2018.

After his service in the Army, Dick worked for Karcz Ford for almost 20 years as the Finance Manager and then retired from the Green Bay Packers in 1994. While at the Packers, he worked as the team's Accountant, Comptroller and Team Travel Coordinator.

Dick was a kind and gentle man. He believed in giving back and filled his retirement years serving the Assumption B.V.M. Parish, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, recipients of Meals on Wheel, the Pulaski Reds Baseball team, attendees at Pulaski Polka Days, and the elderly and veterans in his community. In addition to his dedication to his community, Dick was undoubtedly devoted to and loved by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his six children: Debbie Wright, Carolyn (Kevin) Kern, Pamela (John) Mahoney, Jann (Chris) Charette, Sue (Tim) Noble, and Ron Blasczyk; and his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Alicia (Billy) Chavis, Rayleigh, Ava and Lilly; Kara Karabees (Kevin Borghi), Thomas Karabees and Marilyn Borghi; Matthew Kern; Michael (Chanda) Kern, Leon Kern; Casey (Jeff) Fredrick, Addyson, Harper and Nola; Amber (Natasha) Mahoney; Justin and Sophia Charette; Kendra, Carly and Cassidy Noble. He is further survived by two sisters: Phyllis (Tony) Farrell, and Ginny (Frank) Danielski.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; father and mother, Casimer and Sophia; an infant brother Ronald; a son-in-law, Scott Wright; aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Dick will be sadly missed by many dear friends and family, especially his card-playing partners and golf buddies.

Friends may call at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 Pulaski St., Pulaski, for visitation on Sunday, June 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A parish Wake Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20th at Assumption B.V.M. Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the church, Father Brendan Wroblewski O.F.M., presiding; Father James Gannon O.F.M., concelebrant. Burial with military honors provided by the Pulaski Area Veterans, will take place in the parish cemetery.

Dick's family wishes to express their appreciation to Unity Hospice and the many kind and devoted caregivers who provided such compassionate care to him over the past five months. Thank you!
