Richard Borjon, 69, of Bakersfield, California, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on April 4, 1956, in Tulare, California, Richard was known for his passion for golf, his deep dedication to family, and his unforgettable sense of humor. He lived a life marked by 36 years of service through his career with the Bakersfield City Fire Department, countless rounds of golf with friends and family, and a steadfast commitment to caring for those he loved.
Richard is survived by his children: Brandon Borjon, Ashley Borjon, Brandi Borjon, Natalia Torres, and Nicholas Flores; and his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Auri, Alex, Ares, and Marcelo. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Borjon, and other beloved family members.
Those who knew Richard will remember his generosity, contagious laugh, and unwavering support. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, service, and loyaltyone that will continue to live on through his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A funeral and graveside service will be held on February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Southwest, Panama Lane. A celebration of life will follow.
