Richard's Obituary

Richard F. Boyle, 77, of Saylorsburg, PA, passed away, Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, PA.  He was the husband of Josephine (Smith) Boyle, they would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary, October 10, 2025. 

Born in Brooklyn, NY, August 8, 1948, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Mary (Fagan) Boyle. 

Prior to retiring in 1994, he was employed as a manager for N.Y. Telephone, now Verizon. 

He attended St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl, PA and was a member of the Lions Club, and the Shad Creek Yacht Club.  He also volunteered for Meals on Wheel of Monroe County. 

In addition to his wife Josephine, he is survived by two sons, Richard J. Boyle and his wife Patrice of Commack, NY, and Craig C. Boyle and his wife Elizabeth of Broad Channel, NY, and four grandchildren, Alexandra, Sophie, Michael and Charlotte. 

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Gordon and Maureen Boyle. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be a viewing beginning at 9 AM until time of Mass at the church.   Interment will conclude services at Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township, PA.  The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
