Richard J. Brady, Sr., 84, of Lowell, unexpectedly passed away after a sudden illness on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital, with his family by his side.
Born in Lowell on September 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Dupre) Brady. He was raised in Lowell and educated in local Catholic schools, including Sacred Heart School.
Richard dedicated much of his career to Raytheon, where he worked for many years before his retirement. Never one to remain idle, he went on to work as a bus driver for Beacon Mobility, where he took great pride in transporting and caring for disabled children, a role he cherished.
Family was always at the heart of Richard's life. He is survived by his children, Diane Flint and her husband Erik of New Boston, NH, Kathleen Brady of Vista, CA, and Richard J. Brady, Jr. of Hudson, NH; five grandchildren, Kevin Sordiff, Joshua Sordiff, Amy Silva and her husband Andy, Thomas Brady, and Christopher Brady; and three great-grandchildren, Riley Flint, Xander Flint, and Sophia Silva. He also leaves his sisters, Shirley Osborne of El Cajon, CA, and Elizabeth Price and her husband Steve of Palm City, FL; and many nieces and nephews
Richard was predeceased by his daughter, Michelle Brady; his siblings, Raymond Brady, Peter Brady, Robert Brady, Pauline Fortin, and Joan Poirier; and his parents.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
