(ALBION)
Richard R. “Dick” Braley, age 85, died June 21, 2023 in Medina Memorial Hospital. He was born May 23, 1938 in Albion to Ralph and Olive (Ellis) Braley and was a life-long resident of this area.
Dick was a United State Navy Veteran, worked for the NYS DOT as a mechanic for over 18 years and was a Social Member of the Active Hose Company of the Albion Fire Department. He was a fan of NASCAR, enjoyed tinkering with cars, and was known in the area for his expertise with auto mechanics. He was a perfectionist in many areas, and ALWAYS attended any little league games that his children or grandchildren were playing in. Dick was a calming influence to many people and was an all-around caring and gentle man. Mr. Braley was predeceased by his sister: Catherine Braley and his faithful companion, “Pal”.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Irene, his sons: Mark (Kelley) Braley of Lyndonville, Jeff (Stacey) Braley of Gaines, his grandchildren: Olivia, Sawyer, Donovan, Stryker, Colson, many nieces and nephews and his coffee buddies from McDonalds.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Avenue-Albion, WEDNESDAY (6/28) from 5-7 only. Family and friends are invited to attend a brief graveside service THURSDAY (6/29) in Mt. Albion Cemetery beginning at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
