Richard Lee Brown, age 76 of Wauchula, FL formerly of Clinton passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He was born February 21, 1946 in Tecumseh, a son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Kleinschmidt) Brown.
Richard retired in 2020 from Mid-America Machining in Brooklyn after 53 years in the tool and die trade. He was a member of First Christian Church of Wauchula, FL. Richard loved restoring classic cars and was one of the founding members of the Clinton Street Cruisers Car Club. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved watching tv, going to the beach and being out in the sun. He took great pride in craftmanship when he restored cars and many other things. His greatest love was for his family.
Richard is survived by his wife Mary Ann; his children, Tammy (Bryan Perry) Perry of Clinton, Rick (Kristal) Brown of Mountain View, AR and Michelle (Michael) Lee of Monclova, OH; brother, Larry (Rebecca) Brown of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, Kyle Perry, Tyler (Hannah) Lee, Karson Perry, Gabrielle Lee, Nicholas Lee and Mykayla Lee; two great grandchildren, Ella Lee and Reese Lee. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jim Brown and step-father Leroy Brugger.
Visitation for Richard will be from 1-3 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Larry Lee officiating. Inurnment will be in Ridgeway Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Wauchula.
