Stanberry, MO: Richard Clayton Brown, 75, Stanberry, MO passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at a Stanberry, MO nursing home.
He was born on May 20, 1950, in Island City, MO the son of Jim Alva and Wilma Jean (Motzkus) Brown.
Richard attended the Island City Christian Church. He enjoyed life, riding his lawn mower and working on lawn mowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mavayn, Wanda, and Nina Brown; four brothers, John Dale, Don Warren, David Dewayne, and Alva Vern Brown; and a nephew, Bryan Brown.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Ellen Brown, Stanberry, MO, Karen (Terry) Reed, Paintsville, KY, and Marilyn Brown, King City, MO; brothers, Billy Brown, Stanberry, MO, Mervin Brown, Independence, MO, and James Brown, Savannah, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6 at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. Burial will follow in Lafayette Cemetery, Island City, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family with checks payable to Ellen Brown in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 153, Stanberry, MO 64489. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
