Richard Eugene "Dick" Bryan, 84, passed away on September 7, 2025 with his wife Karen by his side. He was born on December 5, 1940, in Elgin, Illinois, to Dorothy Bryan. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Karen; his three children, Kelly (Wes) of Arizona, Scott (Erin) of Missouri, and Carrie of Montana; siblings Shelly Deupree (Joe) of Texas, Connie Van Etten (John) of Texas, and Jim Bryan of Texas; stepchildren Aron Woertink (Christine) of California, Noelle McBride (Kip) of Pennsylvania, Jason Woertink (Julia) of Michigan, and Dana Long of Arizona; five grandchildren; as well as many additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Of course, his favorite of them all was his four-legged companion, Meha, who held a very special place in his heart. Dick was deeply proud of his children and their accomplishments. His greatest joy was found in family and work, and he never missed a chance to express his pride and love for each of them. Throughout his career, Dick dedicated his life to excellence in customer service. He was honored to be recognized as #1 in Customer Service throughout the United States in the homebuilding industry. During his time with John Laing Homes and William Lyon Homes, he mentored many talented men and women, leaving a legacy of professionalism and care that will not be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will take place in Orange County, California, on March 28, 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later time.
