Richard Burch, 81, of Larue, Texas, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. A family memorial graveside will be held at a later date.

Richard Autrey Burch was born on December 20, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Edward Calvin Burch and Mary Frances (Kelton) Burch. He graduated from high school in Phoenix and then enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for four years. Richard worked as a cabinet maker for over 50 years and was a talented woodworker. He also enjoyed drag racing. Richard will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Melitta Salzman Burch; son, Edward Erich Burch; granddaughter, Amy Nicole (Burch) Jarrett; and siblings, Charles Edward Burch, Patricia Smith, and Elaine Rangel.

Survivors include his children, Ken Burch of Phoenix, Iris Johnson and husband Steve of Kaufman, David Burch and wife Rhonda of Midlothian, Dennis Burch of Dallas, Norman Burch and wife Myrtle of Larue, Donald Burch and wife Amy of Waxahachie, and Tara Epperson and husband Alvie of Venus; his brother, Mike Burch and wife Leah of Orlando, Florida; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
