Richard “Rick” Carro, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away at age 63 on October 27, 2025, in Rochester, NY. He leaves behind a legacy of music, laughter, and unwavering love.

Rick is survived by his daughter, Megan Whitney, who was an important part of his life and a source of pride for him. His devotion to Megan was unwavering. He loved her endlessly, and held her happiness close to his heart, and his devoted siblings Lisa, Dan, and Chris Carro. He was the loving son of Richard and Rosemary Carro, who instilled in him the foundations of family, creativity, and compassion that shaped his life.

A gifted and professional multi-instrument musician, Rick’s talent touched countless lives. Music was not just his career—it was his voice, his passion, and the way he connected deeply with the world around him. Whether performing on stage or sharing a spontaneous tune among friends, Rick infused every note with heart.

Rick will be remembered as a loving brother, a loyal friend, and a man who never failed to find humor in life’s moments—big or small. His warmth, wit, and generosity made him a source of comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

He held a special place in his heart for his lifelong friend Steven Dunn, whose friendship brought Rick strength, laughter, and companionship through every chapter of life.

Rick’s spirit lives on in the music he played, the stories he shared, and the love he gave freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
