On Sunday, 4 January 2026, Richard E. Caudle was called to his eternal heavenly home. Though quite unexpected, he passed ever so peacefully and that in itself was a blessing gift. He had just turned 80 years old in November. He was predeceased by his parents, Rebecca Gutierrez Kallenbach and Fred Caudle. Richard is survived by his wife and 3 adult children. His beloved daughter Carol, from first marriage, beloved son James, from his second wife, and beloved son Jonathon from his 3rd time's a charm wife of 52 years, Donna Caudle. He had 6 grandchildren. Richard is also survived by his beloved sister Sylvia Brooks and children, his beloved brother Robert Caudle and wife Heidi and children, siblings-in-law, Lynne and Eric Murray, and Dawn Matthews, Lori Roberts and John Matthews. He also had many nieces and nephews.
Richard was born in Phoenix and raised in Tolleson Arizona where his family had an appreciable history. Richard always love to reminisce about the once small town that was to him like a Mayberry USA. He attended elementary and high school in Tolleson and in 8th grade his dog Dusty actually got his own report card. We still have it to this day. At the end of his senior year he proudly joined the U.S.Army with several of his close friends. Richard worked for Moore Chrysler Jeep in Peoria AZ for over 25 years where he was a trusted and valued employee, co-worker and friend, he was a good mentor to the young men he worked with, he forged a lifetime best friendship there as well. In 2017 he fully retired and began going everyday to Rio Vista Park in Peoria. For health reasons he began a daily indoor walkabout regimen and then would go outside to the lake where he hung out with a group of fisherman buddies. They all met over a 6 year period and became a close knit group of friends. One of his close friends he met there- generously gave us a send off memorial in Richards honor at the park bench where he always sat next to the lake and talked to the guys while they fished. It was a lovely heartfelt and poignant gathering.
Richard was a kindhearted man, generous, funny/witty, protective of family and friends, a diligent hard worker and he was a loving and loyal man. He truly was a man's man. He knew his Lord and knew where he would be spending his forever days. I know he is joyfully with family and friends in heaven and our comfort will be that we will see him again. Amen.
