Richard Chesser, age 56, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Roane Medical Center, Harriman, Tennessee. He was born May 8, 1968, in Rockwood, Tennessee. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Rockwood. He competed in Basketball and Bowling in the Special Olympics for many years. He enjoyed getting to go out into his community, going to parks, going out to eat, and spending time with his housemates. He loved Christmas, Santa, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Andy Griffth Show (Barney), and Sponge Bob Square Pants. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior & Frances Chesser; and grandparents, Robert & Luverna Wicks.

Sister: Robin Hackler of Rockwood, TN
Niece: Sara Luring of Rockwood, TN
Nephew: Shane Hackler of Rockwood, TN
Conservator: Fred Coe of Knoxville, TN

And several other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Committal services and interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to Michael Dunn Center; 1324 Lawnville Road; Kingston, TN 37763. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is serving the family of Richard Chesser.
