Thank you, Rich, for having asked me to join your group of Forecallers, that fateful black Friday, at Westover golf club. You have been and WILL continue to be missed, for as long as Forecallers play golf, together. Keep 'em in the short grass, my friend.

My uncle Howard and my late father Allen (Jerry) were good friends with Richard. His mother used to live on Horrocks Street back in the day and my grandparents used to live on Oakland Street. I remember as a little boy meeting Richard and his mother many times. Such sweet people. One day when I was only 10 and a half years old, I went around the corner to knock on Mrs. Croll's door and Richard answered it and I told him that my grandmother Rose Ravitsky died. He was very upset cause he knew her well and he told his mom about it. Richard truly was amazing and so intelligent. Now he's up there with Mom and Dad. Gonna miss him.

Real, Real Gone
Days like this memories from a lifetime come flooding back like the slip stream since you´ve gone. The beautiful vision of the snow bright light shining through the apartment window with Van Morrison playing on the stereo. In the days before rock n roll, you found your sound on the radio. Pall Malls rolled up in your shirt sleeve, since the age of 11. When I moved to Scotland you wanted to visit Cypress Ave., Belfast, because it was Van the Man´s hometown.
These are the days when we reminisce about our endless summers on Long Beach Island. And that father´s day when the two of us saw Van and his daughter Shana perform his songs on Roosevelt Island. All the good times I still can see in these dreams of you, so real and so true. We had a heavy connection. One I could always count on.
The stories you told when you gotta go back. The scar on your cheek from that game of cowboys and Indians. Have I told you lately that I love you? I have, you knew. I knew you loved me, too. And before the healing has begun, sometimes we cry. Class clown, first Drexel male cheerleader, pioneer computer programmer, father, grandfather, the best ex-husband, traveller to Japan, golfer, hip hop fan and our very own entertainer. Adventurous soul. Not being beside you is a brand new day.
Till we get the healing done, It wasn´t what you said, it was the way that it felt to me.
You are now real, real gone. As you sail into the mystic, I can´t stop this rainbow in my soul.

Rich was an integral part of my life. I was only 14 when I met him. We shared so much history. We were married and then divorced but remained friends forever. With each new year, we only got closer, sharing everything. Our relationship was very familial allowing us to enjoy our daughters lives as parents and all other Family events. Rich made me laugh with his quick wit and he was the Very Best Father. My heart is heavy now but Rich will always occupy a place in my soul that will keep his memories very much alive.

Dear Alisa and family,
I remember your dad coming to visit in San Francisco. Such an interesting and kind man. And he came for work after you were in Edinburgh and we went to see Divine which I will never forget. I am sorry for your loss.
