Richard Lance Cummins, 50, of Fort Smith Arkansas passed away peacefully on Friday June 23, 2023. Heaven called him home before we were ready, but everyone knows he is happy in heaven with his father watching over us. He was born on March 9, 1973 in Odessa and moved to Fort Smith in December 2020. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Mosley Cummins.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Chey Ann Cummins of 15 years, as well as his two children Noah David Stice and Richlyn Alexandria Cummins of Fort Smith. His mother Cheryl Robinson of Odessa, his brother, Dr. Christopher Cummins I and his wife Katrina of Odessa, nephew, Christopher Cummins II of Odessa, an Aunt Laura Cummins of Abilene, Tx and a cousin, Vanessa Dick of Odessa.
Richard Lance Cummins was an amazing husband, father, uncle and human being. He was the most laid back and patient person you would ever meet. He loved playing and watching baseball, enjoyed classic rock and heavy metal. More than anything he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed making people smile and laugh and wanted everyone to have a good time. Richard had the purest soul and heart. He always said, “if you’re going to be dumb, you got to be tough.”
We love you Rich always and forever.
