Richard R. Dalach died November 14, 2016 at his home in Clinton Township at the age of 83. He was born July 19,1933 in Detroit Michigan the son of the late Ralph and the late Gladys (nee: Lane) Dalach. Richard was raised in Detroit and following his schooling received his Bachelor's Degree in accounting. Richard served in the United States Army from June 12, 1956 through June 11, 1958 having attained the rank of Specialist 3rd Grade Technician eventually receiving his Honorable Discharge and a return trip to Michigan. For all who knew Richard, everyone will attest to his devotion to his Savior and his Christian faith. As a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, Richard was involved with many aspects within the church. He volunteered his time and energy for the betterment of the church and community. Additionally Richard volunteered many hours at the Hope Center in Clinton Township and was a hospital chaplain at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens. Richard found great joy and pleasure vacationing to Hatteras, North Carolina with his family. In retirement Richard traveled for or over twelve years to Gulf Shores Alabama to soak up the sun and surf. Every year his friends in Gulf Shores would bid Richard goodbye with "Y'all come back now, you hear". Richard had many passions in life including cheering on his beloved Michigan State Spartans, traveling, golfing, fishing, cooking..., however his greatest accomplishments centered around his family. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He touched countless hearts and lives in his journey through life, along with taking many with him for a wild ride. He leaves behind wonderful memories for all to embrace, and many more who were blessed to enjoy his company during hisf life. Richard was the loving husband of Gloria and the late Barbara Dalach. He was the loving father of Karen (Michael) Zielinski, Daniel (Lisa), Jennifer (Kevin) Pearson, Deborah (Mark) Steer, and Sherrie (Gary) Rushton. For Karen and Lisa,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families during this difficult time. Your Dad sounded like an amazing and very special person. A selfless human being who brought a lot of love and happiness into countless people's lives.
Although he will be sadly missed, he will always be there next to you in spirit and will continue to watch over you and your families. He lived a beautiful and fulfilling life on earth.
Now this time he will be loved and cherished in the lord's house. His new home where he will no longer feel pain and will live in an eternity of hope and comfort until you meet again.

May God bless you all now and forever.

My deepest sympathies to Gloria and family. Richard was a Hope Center and McLaren volunteer with my dad, Bill Kurth, and I know they spent many happy hours together. Both Richard and Gloria were very kind and helpful to both of my parents in their later years. May you have comfort in knowing that Richard made a difference here on earth, and that he is in peace and joy in heaven.
