Richard Lorraine Davis, 86, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family at The Waters of Sullivan on Monday, December 15, 2025. He was born to Merle Lorraine Davis and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Davis on August 6, 1939 in Blanchard, Iowa. Richard received his Bachelor's Degree from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky. Throughout his life, he worked in farming, carpentry, ministry in Iowa, Ohio, and Indiana, and at Carpet Center in Sullivan.

Richard was a member of Buck Creek Muzzleloader in Linton and also a member of Faith Wesleyan Church in Terre Haute. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, tinkering, and cooking. Richard also enjoyed collecting John Deere memorabilia. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

Richard is preceded in death by both of his parents and his late wife, Jolene, whom he is now reunited with. They are resting in the arms of the Lord together.

Richard is survived by son, Bob Davis (Leona); brothers, Jerry Davis and Barney Davis; grandchildren, Briauna (Brandon) Himes, Kaley (Morgan) Kindall, Tiera (John) Vaughn, and Harley Davis; great-grandchildren, Blaine Kindall, Karsyn Kindall, Kollin Kindall, Ryan Himes, Loren Himes, Harlan Himes, Londyn Himes, August Vaughn, and Okely Vaughn; special friends Regina Zedaker and Kimberly Roberts.

Richard is also survived by his widow, Melva Davis.

Visitation for Richard will take place on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at DeBaun Funeral Home Springhill Chapel in Terre Haute, Indiana. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Erich Blevins.
