Richard "Rick" Alan Denzel
1973-2024
Richard "Rick" Alan Denzel, age 71, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, surrounded by his wife and daughters at his home.
Rick was born in 1953 to Charles and Alice Denzel in Grand Rapids, MN. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School. On June 9, 1973 he was united in marriage to Marsha Mostad in Grand Rapids, MN. Rick was employed by Blandin Paper Company for more than 30 years. Following retirement, Rick and Marsha wintered in Arizona. He had a great love for God and animals and enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, hunting, remote control airplanes, working on small engines, playing shuffle board, and bingo. Rick was known for his great sense of humor and loved visiting with anyone.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Gauthier; and brothers, Gary, David, and Randy Denzel. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marsha; daughters, Amy (Eric) Hagen of Forest Lake, MN, and Rikki Denzel of Grand Rapids, MN; sisters, Joanne Houghton of Hibbing, MN, and Kathy (Mike) Carlson of Grand Rapids, MN; brothers, Charles (Gloria) Denzel of Chippewa Falls, WI, Dean (Charlotte) Denzel of Grand Rapids, MN, Brian Denzel of Grand Rapids, MN, and Mark (Laurie) Denzel of Blaine, MN; four grandchildren, Ethan, Avery, Sawyer, and Presley; and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of Rick's life will be held at a later date.
