Richard W. Deppen, 76 of Allentown passed away on June 3, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg.
He was the husband of Loretta J. (Burley) Deppen, they would have been married 38 years on July 25.
Richard was born in Allentown on December 18, 1948, son of the late Donald P. and Ruth N. (Balmer) Deppen.
He was an electrician who worked for Bell Labs, Agere and retired from Lucent Technologies.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Wheels of Time and the Bacchii Club.
Survivors: His wife Loretta, daughter Natalie Pattison(Matthew), son Richard Deppen, Jr. (Cindy,) 2 grandchildren Wyatt and Jadalynn; step-daughter Brenda Heffelfinger (Brian), stepson Dean Neiser (Candi), step-grandchildren Tonya, Eric and Nick, 2 step-great-grandchildren Jadalyn and Bruce, and brother Robert. Predeceased by brother James.
Viewing & Service: Wednesday June 11, 2025, viewing 10AM to 11AM at the Sell-Herron Funeral Home 1145 Lehigh Street Allentown. Military Honors at 11:45 AM at Greenwood Cemetery (Section C) in Allentown.
