Richard (Dick) Eicher, 88, of Cincinnati passed away February 2, 2026. Dick was born June 30, 1937, son of the late Gertrude Eicher.
Cherished husband of 37 years to Betsy (nee Wass) Eicher. Loving father of Lynne (Greg) Wirthlin, Susan (Chuck) Squeri, and Eliot Eicher (Amanda Feldmeyer). Dear brother of Daniel Eicher and the late Phyllis May. Dick was preceded in death by his son, Mark Eicher. Dick is also survived by his many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. His sisters-in-law and their spouses were also his devoted friends.
Dick grew up on the west side of Cincinnati, attended Western Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati. He worked his entire career at Proctor & Gamble in product development. He loved to tell stories of his travels around the country working with various groups to develop products and get preferences in P&G's laundry line of products.
His hobbies included hiking, camping, golf and reading. Most of his time in retirement was spent with family, coaching youth soccer, basketball and various sports, and chaperoning Scouting trips. Dick was a volunteer for many programs at Anderson Hills Church; taught woodworking to the youth, Stephen Ministry, worked with his peers to do projects and repairs at the church, and helped Senior members with repairs and projects in their homes. Dick took up snow skiing at the age of 63, followed by many family ski trips out west. He was most known for his kind and generous spirit. He is already dearly missed.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 11:30 AM in the Contemporary Worship Center at Anderson Hills Church (7515 Forest Rd.) Visitation will be held in the Welcome Center of the church from 10 AM until the time of service. There will be a light luncheon at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati (POBox 633597 Cincinnati, Oh 45263) or Anderson Hills Church (Office - 7663 Five Mile Rd 45230)
