Richard C. Hagaman, 84, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Dick was born the son of William and Theodora (Rathbun) Hagaman on June 17, 1941, in Salt Lake City, UT. He married Karen Schubert on June 27, 1959. They enjoyed 64 years together before her passing in 2022.

Dick was most proud of his career as a Firefighter for the City of Sioux City, retiring in 1999 after 32 years of service. Not one to stay still, Dick worked many other side jobs throughout the years. He enjoyed hunting, boating and fishing in his earlier years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to The Gospel Mission or Food Bank of Siouxland in Richard’s name.

Dick is survived by his sons, Troy (Judy) Hagaman of Flower Mound, TX and Todd (Jody) Hagaman of Sioux City; grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Marks, Zachary (Ashley Porterfield) Hagaman, Brandon (Martha) Hagaman, and Bryce (Emma) Hagaman; great-grandsons, Adrian and Theodore, great-granddaughter Sadie, with one on the way; and special companion, Pepper. He is also survived by his, brothers-in law, Jim (Donna) Schubert and Gary (Betsy) Schubert; sisters-in law, Mary (Jim) Adams and Deb (Jim) Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Karen, brother William (Billy) and sister Ruth Ann.

Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time.
