Richard Wayne Dickey

Richard Wayne Dickey, 55, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at VCU Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1968, in Tazewell, Virginia to the late Richard Carl and Jacqueline Strickland Dickey. Richard served many different departments starting at the age of 16, with the Southside Virginia Emergency Junior Crew, the Petersburg and Colonial Heights Police Departments, and he was volunteer until a year before his death. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Teresa J. Dickey; children, Courtney Dicky, Thomas Dickey, Marshall Dickey, and Joseph Dickey; grandchildren, Emaree Matthews, Finleigh Matthews, Makenna Dickey, and Camden Dickey; sister, Melissa Dickey; best friend, Kenny Bish; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday June 28, 2024, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia, 23834.
